Process Server pricing is based upon location, service provided and urgency.

Normal services are rendered between 8AM-5PM, Monday through Friday.  Additional fees apply to after-hours and weekend services.  Pricing could be more or less depending upon your unique circumstances.  All cases are unique.  All pricing is per attempt and per defendant served.  We offer volume discounts to companies who have at least 25 cases per month.  See Service Areas for a details of cities we serve within each zone.

You must attempt to serve a person at the address you listed on your form SC-100 before attempting service at any other locations (for example, at work).

You must attempt to serve the Agent of Service on record for corporations first before attempting service upon any officer of the company.  In some cases, the Agent of Service may be at a different location outside our service area.  See the California Secretary of State website to search for the agent of service.

In most small claims cases, substituted service can be affected upon any party of legal age at the defendant's home or place of work who are willing to accept court documents for the defendant.  Under certain circumstances only personal service can be done.  Please contact an attorney or the OCBA Lawyer Referral & Information Service for more information.

eFiling is only available as an add-on service.  We do not eFile for cases already served.

HOW WE CALCULATE NORMAL VS. RUSH VS. URGENT SERVICE

Say for example, you filed your claim on January 3rd and your court date is March 30.  The defendant living in the same jurisdiction as the court must be served by March 14.

  • If notify us by March 6, we can have the person served between March 7 and March 14 by Standard Service Attempt Rates, plus any additional fees as applicable.
  • If you wait until March 10 to hire us, there will be a Rush Service Fee on top of the normal fee.
  • If you wait until March 13 to hire us, there will be an Urgent Service Fee on top of the normal fee.
  • If you only have one day left to serve the person, and that day happens to fall upon a weekend, then there will be an additional Weekend Fee on top of the Urgent Service Fee.

Contact us as soon as you file so that we can schedule normal service.
